EDISON, NJ - Men's soccer senior defender Tom Climpson was named the Preseason All-MAAC Team Thursday, when the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) released their men's soccer preseason polls and Preseason All-MAAC Team selections.
Climpson, who hails from East Sussex, England, appeared in 18 games and started 17 last season for the Peacocks. As a defender, he also contributed on the offensive end, scoring four goals and adding an assist to total nine points on the season. He also anchored the back line that kept three clean sheets in 2021, two of which came in conference play.
The Peacocks, who finished second in the conference standings last season, were picked to finish seventh in the pre-season polls. They open up the season on Thursday, August 25th, when they play host to VMI at 2 p.m. at Jaroschak Field.
