EDISON, NJ – Freshman forward Gianna Grassifulli has been named the Bob McCloskey Insurance Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week.
Grassifulli recorded her first career goal in the second half of the Peacocks win over Iona this past Saturday. The 51st minute goal proved to be the winner in a 2-1 victory, as Saint Peter's won their MAAC opener for the first time since 2018.
A freshman from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Grassifulli has played in all nine contests for Saint Peter's and started in one. She is tied for second on the team in points and has recorded three shots so far this season.
