JERSEY CITY, NJ – The Saint Peter's University men's golf program will open up the fall portion of its 2022 season when it competes in the Wildcat Invitational starting on Monday (Sept. 26) at Radnor Valley Country Club in Pennsylvania. The two-day tournament concludes the following afternoon.
Closing the Book on 2021-22
- The 2021-22 academic year saw things start to return to normal again, as the Peacocks played a full schedule last year.
- Saint Peter's sent five players to the MAAC Championships, with the highest placement being T-15th. Junior Antonio Conde Ortega finished T-26th at +13.
Meet the Peacocks
- The Peacocks return five golfers from last year, including Caleb Rossi and Jimmy Apostolico who return as graduate students.
- In addition to Rossi and Apostolico, Conde Ortega returns as one of two juniors on the roster, along with Adam Varela.
- Sophomore Evan Koutsopetras is the lone sophomore on the roster.
- True freshman Shiv Manhas and Evan Goodrich round out the 2022-23 Saint Peter's Men's Golf roster.
The Schedule
- The Peacocks will play a five-tournament slate for the fall of 2022.
- After this weekend's Wildcat Invitational, the program will head up to New York State to Apalachin, New York, for the Binghamton University-hosted Matthews Auto Intercollegiate (Oct. 2-3) at The Links at Hiawatha Landing.
- The Peacocks are back in action the following week, as they head back to Pennsylvania to participate in the Bucknell Invitational. The three-day event will run from Oct. 9-11 and be played at Bucknell Golf Club in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
- Saint Peter's then heads up to Millford, Connecticut to play in the Sacred Heart University Fall Classic at Great River Golf Course. The tournament runs from Oct. 16-17.
- Finally, the Peacocks round out the fall at the Wagner College-hosted Metropolitan Intercollegiate Championship from October 31 through November 1 at Montclair Golf Club in nearby West Orange.
