Saint Peter's Golf Wins Wagner Metropolitan Intercollegiate Championship

West Orange, N.J.- The Saint Peter's University men's golf team won the Wagner Metropolitan Intercollegiate Championship on Tuesday at the Montclair Golf Club.
 
Match Notes
  • By the end of the two-day tournament, Saint Peter's jumped multiple spots onto the top of the leaderboard.
  • As a team, the Peacocks shot a 599 across two rounds. Saint Peter's finished one point ahead of Manhattan College, who ended the championship with a 600 score.
  • Individually, Shiv Manhas led the way for Saint Peter's as he finished the championship third overall. Manhas shot a 144 through two rounds of action.
  • Not too far behind Manhas was the fourth-place finisher, Pablo Alvarez. In the championship, Alvarez shot a 145. Alvarez had a strong first round by shooting a 70. He followed that performance up with a score of 75 in round two.
  • Antonio Conde Ortega finished the championship in a tie for 17th place.
  • Adam Varela, who came in a tie for 53rd place, ended his time in West Orange with a 162 score.
  • Jeffery Yong landed 58th overall with a 164 score over two rounds.
