TOWSON, Md.- The Saint Peter's University men's and women's track and field teams kicked off their spring outdoor season at the Towson University Invitational this weekend.
On the women's side, junior
Aaliyah Vandergrift finished tenth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.43. Freshman
Sanai Bryant came in 11th place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.48.
Junior
Abigail Vital placed third in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.57, while coming in 15th place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.82.
Sophomore
Balikis Iyiola finished in fourth place in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.93.
The Peacocks 4x100-meter relay team of Bryant, senior
Vernetta Gosier, Vital and Vandergrift finished fourth with a time of 48.01.
Freshman
Ciara Brown took sixth place in the shotput with a distance of 11.71 meters.
On the men's side, freshman
Cashieve Blair finished second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.86, while taking ninth place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 49.14.
Sophomore
Bayyan Dallas placed third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 49.14.

Amari Campbell, Blair, freshman
Iyad Boxton, and junior
Delano Gooden took eighth place with a time of 44.53.
R-junior
Michael Illesanmi finished in fourth place in the long jump with a distance of 7.07 meters. Campbell placed sixth in the long jump with a distance of 6.92 meters.
The Peacocks are back in action at the METS Championship on Randall's Island in New York City on Saturday, April 8.
