Men's Soccer Announces 2023 Schedule

JERSEY CITY, N.J.- The 2023 Saint Peter's men's soccer schedule was announced Monday. The Peacocks '23 campaign features a 16-match slate with seven non-conference matches and six matches at Jaroschak Field.

"We are looking forward to getting started and continuing our work getting ready for the season," Saint Peter's University head coach Julian Richens said. "It's a challenging non-conference schedule against successful teams across the East Coast."

The Peacocks start off their '23 campaign with six consecutive non-conference matches. SPU's season opener is on the road at Liberty (Aug. 24), followed by a match in North Carolina at High Point (Aug. 27). Saint Peter's home opener takes place versus NEC foe Le Moyne (Aug. 31).

After its home opener, SPU enters the month of September with an in-state match at Rutgers (Sep. 4), and then a match at St. Johns (Sep. 8). The Peacocks host Marist (Sep. 16) for their MAAC opener followed by a match at Siena (Sep. 23). SPU hosts Mount St. Mary's (Sep. 30), before a bye week the first week of October.

"The MAAC schedule is slightly different this year, starting earlier in mid-September with our first four games being Saturday-only games," Richens said. "As always it's a very competitive conference. Our non-conference games will be good preparation for our league play."

Saint Peter's University closes out the regular season with seven MAAC matches. The Peacocks host Niagara (Oct. 11), before road matchups at Iona (Oct. 14), and Manhattan (Oct. 18). SPU's final two home matches take place against defending MAAC Champion Quinnipiac (Oct. 21), and Fairfield (Oct. 25.) The regular season concludes with two road conference matches at Canisius (Oct. 28), and the Peacocks regular-season finale at Rider (Nov. 1).

Six teams from the conference will advance to the 2023 MAAC Men's Soccer Championship. The tournament begins Nov. 5 with the championship final played on Nov. 12.
