Softball Adds Abbey Landrum and Riley Williams

JERSEY CITY, NJ. - The Saint Peter's University softball team added two new pitchers to the roster. Abbie Landrum and Riley Williams will join the Peacocks for the upcoming season.

"Abbie and Riley add a tremendous amount of depth and experience to our staff. They are proven players at the college level and both have pitched their teams to success," head coach Chris Stelma said. "We are looking forward to getting them to Chilltown and getting them in the circle."

Landrum joins the Peacocks following a successful stint at St. Thomas Aquinas. Last season, Landrum was named the East Coast Conference Player of the Year. The California native led the ECC in innings pitched with 147.2 and notched 11 wins with 107 strikeouts. At the plate, Landrum ranked in the top 10 in league batting average (.320-9th) and hit two home runs with 16 RBIs.

Williams transfers from Felician College after an impressive freshman campaign. The former Golden Falcon made 24 starts and picked up 17 wins. Additionally, she pitched 168.2 innings and amassed 118 strikeouts. The California native broke the Felician record for most wins in a single season and pitched a no-hitter in FC's win over Chestnut Hill on Apr. 14.
