Elliot McPhelim Announced As Assistant Women's Soccer Coach

JERSEY CITY, N.J. -  The Saint Peter's University women's soccer team named Elliot McPhelim as assistant coach before the upcoming season. 

"We are delighted to have Elliot join our coaching staff," head coach Julia Bazi said. "He comes in with great experience in both the US and Europe. We are looking forward to working with him this season!"

Prior to Saint Peter's University, McPhelim was the women's assistant head soccer coach at NCAA Division II school Bloomfield College in New Jersey. McPhelim planned strategic and personal practice sessions, recruited future student-athletes both locally and nationally, scouted future opponents through video analysis, and more. Additionally, the Scotland native was the sales and marketing director/head coach for the Soccer For Life Club in Millburn, NJ. While there, he strategized and implemented digital media marketing campaigns. 

In 2019, McPhelim served as President of Abertay University FC in Dundee Scotland, and from 2013-2016 was an area manager and professional soccer coach for the United Soccer Academy in Whitehouse Station, New Jersey. 

"I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to join Saint Peter's women's soccer," McPhelim said. "I'd like to thank Coach Julia for giving me this chance to work within a top soccer program with a great staff."

McPhelim earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sports Management from Abertay University and an Associate of Arts degree in Sports Coaching with Development of Sport from the City of Glasgow College.
