Mouhamed Sow were honored on the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Preseason All-Conference Third Team. The Peacocks, the reigning MAAC Champions, were selected to finish in fifth place this coming season.
Randolph led the Peacocks with 42 three-pointers last season, ranking in the top-15 in the conference. He averaged 6.5 points per game, while shooting 40.4% from downtown, good for fourth in the MAAC.
Sow played a key role for the Peacocks during the MAAC Championship run last season, earning MAAC All-Tournament honors. In the opening game of the MAAC Championship, Sow registered 10 rebounds, and four blocks in a two-point win over Rider. Sow powered the Saint Peter's offense in the semifinals with a team-best 15 points, while adding six board and four blocks, including the game-winning bucket as time expired in a two-point win over top-seed Quinnipiac. For the season, Sow averaged 5.4 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game, ranking third in the MAAC in blocks.
Saint Peter's finished the season with a 19-14 record and a 12-8 conference mark, finishing the regular season in fifth place in the MAAC. During the MAAC Championship, the Peacocks defeated #4 Rider 50-48 in the quarterfinals and top-seed Quinnipiac 62-60 in the semifinals. Saint Peter's knocked off #2 seed Fairfield 68-63 to capture the program's second MAAC title in three seasons and the first MAAC Championship for Head Coach
Bashir Mason. Mason and the Peacocks earned the #15 seed in March Madness, where they faced Tennessee in the First Round in Charlotte.
The Peacocks open their 2024-25 season on Monday, November 4 as they take on in-state rival Seton Hall University at the Prudential Center in Newark. Saint Peter's opens their home schedule when they host Saint Elizabeth University on Wednesday, November 20.
The 2024-25 campaign culminates with the 2025 Hercules Tires MAAC Men's and Women's Basketball Championships from March 11-15 at Atlantic City's Historic Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall for the sixth consecutive year dating back to 2020.
