JERSEY CITY, N.J. - The Saint Peter's women's basketball team returns home against Quinnipiac after a pair of victories on the road to open up conference play. The Peacocks earned a 61-49 victory over Canisius on Friday, Dec 19 and then a 81-72 win over Niagara on Sunday, Dec 21.
Following a well earned rest week for the holiday break, Saint Peter's returns to the floor looking to keep the forward momentum going up against a tough Bobcats squad. Jackie Grisdale has been the lead horse for the Bobcats, scoring an average of 15.5 points per game on 45.7 percent shooting from the field and 46.6 percent shooting from 3-point range. Quinnipiac enters the Run Baby Run Arena after winning their first two matches of conference play with a 78-39 victory over Manhattan, and a 76-67 win against Marist.

Jayshlynn Vega with a star making performance against Canisius, scoring 23 points, the most any freshman has scored for Saint Peter's since 2019. Following that performance,
De'Naya Rippey had her own incredible performance against Niagara with 24 points, a new career high with six assists, and a double double with 14 rebounds, her third of the year already.
Reilly Sunday with a true return to form scoring 13 points against Niagara and made crucial defensive plays late in the fourth quarter.
The Peacocks aim to earn their first ever victory against the Bobcats. Tip off for the contest is scheduled for 3pm ET and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
