JERSEY CITY, N.J. – Stephon Roberts and
Mouhamed Sow of the Saint Peter's men's basketball team were named to the 2024-25 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) All-Academic Team, the conference announced on Monday.
A total of 38 student-athletes were selected to receive this honor. To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
Roberts, a 6'10" forward from Brooklyn, New York, is graduating from Saint Peter's this May with a bachelor's degree in biology. This season he helped the Peacocks to a 12-16 record and 7-13 mark in conference play, recording almost 600 minutes on the floor. Roberts finished the season with 106 points, 168 rebounds and a team-high 27 blocks.
Sow, a 6'9" forward from Dakar, Senegal, is also graduating from Saint Peter's this May with a bachelor's degree in business management. Sow played a key role for the Peacocks this year, playing in 23 games and starting in 20. He finished the season with 204 points, 153 rebounds and 25 steals while averaging 29.9 minutes per game.
