NEW YORK, NY— The Saint Peter's track and field programs prepare for the 2026 MAAC Championships at the Nike Track & Field Center at The Armory in New York, NY, for the 22nd consecutive season.
Action begins at 5 p.m., and for the first time in conference history, the indoor championships will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
LAST TIME OUT
The Peacocks combined for six podium finishes, including four golds, competing at Yale's Giegengack Invitational.
The highlight of the women's events came from the 4x400. The quartet finished nearly two and a half seconds ahead of the field, in a season-best time of 4:04.13.
For the men,
Neo Clark-Tabb claimed silver in the 200m, clocking a new personal and team-best time of 22.54.
Ajani Peck-Wekunda hit a new indoor PR in the 400m, securing second (50.27).
Favour Owolabi led in the 500m with a personal-best 1:04.03, nearly a full second ahead of the field.
Michael Odins also posted a PR of 1:05.21. The 4x400 relay dominated the event, finishing three seconds ahead of the field in 3:18.28.
Amari Campbell secured his sixth consecutive podium finish in the long jump and his second straight 24-foot-plus leap. His efforts earned him MAAC Field Athlete of the Week honors.
COMPETING PEACOCKS
38 Peacocks will represent the programs, with 18 men and 20 women competing across various events. The first day of action for Saint Peter's begins with
Shirleysa Rivas hitting the track for the women's one mile trials.

KEY PEACOCKS TO WATCH
Cashieve Blair is the two-time reigning indoor MAAC champion in the 60m and 200m and holds two Saint Peter's indoor program records in the 200m (21.36, 2025) and 300m (33.79, 2026). He is the only Peacock in program history to break 34 seconds in the 300m. Blair also owns two top-10 conference marks, ranking fifth in the 400m (48.67) and first in the 500m (1:03.67).
Brian Yeager has earned three MAAC weekly honors this season, the most by a Peacock in a single year. He has finished in the top three in every 800m race but one and holds three top-10 conference times, ranking fifth in the 500m (1:05.50), fourth in the 800m (1:53.95), and fourth in the 1000m (2:30.90).
Amari Campbell is a two-time MAAC Field Athlete of the Week and enters the championships riding a six-meet podium streak in the long jump, including two consecutive 24-foot-plus performances. He currently ranks first in the conference, nearly a foot ahead of the competition.
Lourdes Lawson earned MAAC Rookie of the Week honors earlier this season, becoming the first Saint Peter's woman to receive the award this year. She ranks among the conference's best with a top-15 mark in the weight throw (13.43m) and a second-place ranking in the shot put (13.05m). Lawson also became just the second Peacock in program history to break the 13-meter barrier.
Karilynn Jimenez leads the Peacocks in the 60m, 200m, and 300m and owns two top-10 conference performances, ranking eighth in both the 60m (7.73) and 200m (25.24).

Day one of the Championships will consist of all the preliminary events, the 5000m finals, and the DMR on the track, while the weight throw, men's pole vault, long jump, and high jump will begin in the field.

AROUND THE MAAC
Standout Women:
Nyasia Dailey (Quinnipiac University) – Reigning MAAC indoor 60m champion, riding a six-meet win streak and undefeated in her senior season. She became the first woman in conference history to break the 7.40 barrier, clocking 7.39.
Kendra Green (Rider University) – Enjoying a strong rookie campaign, ranking first in the MAAC in the shot put (13.49m) and among the top 15 in the weight throw (13.15m).
Standout Men:
Amari Mathis (Marist College) — Holds the conference's top marks in the 60m (6.80) and 200m (21.66).
Tamrat Snyder (Rider) — MAAC Track Athlete of the Week honoree who ranks first in the 800m (1:51.94) and fifth in the mile (4:03.38).
LAST YEAR AT MAACS
Rider swept the MAAC Championships once again, securing their third consecutive championship title on both sides.
Saint Peter's finished 11th on the women's side and eighth on the men's.
The highlight of last year's championship came from
Cashieve Blair, blazing to gold in both the 60m (6.79) and 200m (21.36).
Kennedy Vaughn competed in the women's weight throw, with Vaughn hitting a personal best of 13.57m, finishing 13th overall.
Ciara Brown placed eighth in the shot put, throwing a distance of 11.71m.
