Peacocks Look To Grab First Conference Win Of The Season Against Fairfield

Teaneck N.J. - The Peacocks (2-13, 0-3 MAAC)  are set for a quick one game turn around at Naimoli Family Baseball Complex against FDU (8-7)  on Wednesday March 16th, followed by a three game home opening series against Fairfield (6-9, 4-2 MAAC)  starting on Friday March 20th at 3pm.

Saint Peter's looks to bounce back after their 5-11 loss to Marist, which extended their losing streak to three games.

ABOUT THE KNIGHTROS

The Peacocks are looking to grab a quick road win as they head to Teaneck to face FDU. In their last match on April 12th, 2023, it was an offensive barrage for both teams, ending in a 23-18 win for Saint Peter's, where they went on to score ten runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and five more in the ninth.

In their last ten matches, FDU holds a 7-3 advantage over Saint Peter's, with the Peacocks averaging six runs per meeting.

SPU looks to continue the story on Wednesday with a victory over the Knightros at Naimoli Family Baseball Complex. Afterward, the Peacocks will be heading back home to Jaroschak Field for their home opener against Fairfield.

ABOUT FAIRFIELD

Fairfield looks to continue their strong start in the MAAC conference with their win against Manhattan on Sunday. While the Peacocks are looking to grab their first conference win after their loss to Marist.

In their last meeting on April 14th, 2024, which ended  in a 2-19 loss for SPU, where the Peacocks struggled at bat, getting their first run in the fourth inning, which was responded with four runs from Fairfield.

Fairfield holds a 24-4 win advantage over Saint Peter's dating back to March 30th, 2012, where it was a 5-6 loss for Saint Peter's.

With players like Aidan Forrest and Chase Fogg having a dominant performance against Lehigh and Davis Gore having a stellar performance on the mound earlier last week, the Peacocks would need them to perform at the highest level to pull out some wins this week.
