Peacocks Hit the Road for Army and La Salle Before Hosting Quinnipiac

WEST POINT. N.Y.- The Peacocks (2-17, 0-6 MAAC) are heading to West Point to play against Army (11-10) on Tuesday, March 24th at 3:35 p.m. EST for one game, then they are off to Philadelphia, where Saint Peter's will face La Salle (11-12) on March 25th at 3 p.m. EST.

After their two away games, the Peacocks are back in Jersey City for a three-game home stand against conference opponents Quinnipiac (7-13, 2-4 MAAC) starting on March 27th at 2 p.m. EST.

Saint Peter's looks to bounce back from their 7-18 defeat against Fairfield on Sunday and try to end its seven-game losing streak.

ABOUT ARMY

The Peacocks look to get a win as they head to West Point to face Army. The first time these teams faced each other was on April 22, 2003, when Saint Peter's suffered a 2-7 loss. They would go on to face each other two more times, once in 2006 and again in 2012, with a loss in both games for SPU.

The Peacocks look to get their first win over Army, which would be a historical victory for the school's baseball program.

ABOUT LA SALLE

Saint Peter's looks to change history as they head to Philadelphia to play La Salle, which in their last meeting was met with a 7-24 defeat for the Peacocks.

The first time they met was on March 19th, 2011, which was a game that led to extra innings ending in a 6-7 loss for SPU. Saint Peter's would end up getting a victory over La Salle in 2016, where it was a 7-3 win for the Peacocks.

After their two-game road trip, the Peacocks head back to Jaroshak Field to face conference rivals Quinnipiac.

ABOUT QUINNIPIAC

SPU look to grab its first conference win this season as they prepare for their three game stance against the Bobcats.

The Peacocks played a total of 23 games against the Bobcats. Quinnipiac holds a 20-3 win advantage over SPU dating back to April 19th, 2014, where it was a 2-5 loss for Saint Peter's.

In their last meeting on May 11th last year, the Peacocks started off strong with two runs at the start of the first inning, but struggled at bat till they put up two runs at the top of the eighth and ninth. Which ultimately ended in a 4-9 loss for Saint Peter's.

With players like Bobby Lavely and Chase Fogg having amazing performances at bat so far this season, the Peacocks look to grab some wins on the road and to establish their first conference win at home.
