Peacocks Seek Bounce-Back Win as Road Stretch Begins

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J.- The Saint Peter's Baseball team looks to bounce back after their 4-8 conference loss to Quinnipiac on Sunday as they head to MU Baseball Field to face Monmouth for a one-game road trip on Tuesday, March 31st, at 3 p.m.

Then they are off to Buffalo, N.Y., to face conference opponent Canisius for a three-game series starting on April 2nd at 3 p.m.

ABOUT MONMOUTH-

This will be their 36th meeting since 2005, with Monmouth holding a 27-9 win advantage over Saint Peter's

In their last meeting, back on April 2nd of last year, it was an offensive showing, with the Peacocks putting up nine runs and Monmouth coming up with ten runs of their own.

Saint Peter's looks to grab their first win against Monmouth since 2021, when it was a 1-0 victory for the Peacocks

After the quick road trip, Saint Peter's is off to Demeske Sports Complex, where they will face Canisius for a three-game series.

ABOUT CANISIUS-

As of 2012, these teams have faced each other a total of 32 times, with Canisius holding a 26-9 win advantage over Saint Peter's throughout the years.

In the last meeting, it was a 5-10 defeat, but Saint Peter's would ultimately win the conference series 2-1 back in March of last year.

The Peacocks are looking for their first conference win of the season, along with their third win overall, with players such as Alex Manent and Luke Schwartz playing exceptionally well in the last series against Quinnipiac.

 

The Peacocks look to get back on track starting on Tuesday against Monmouth.
