PISCATAWAY, NJ–The Saint Peter's track and field programs wrapped up competition at the Outdoor ECAC/IC4A Championships at the Bauer Track and Field Complex.
Rutgers University swept the team titles, with the women scoring 161 points and the men totaling 160 points. The Peacock women finished 18th (4 points), while the men placed 17th (11 points).
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
The 4x100m relay quartet of
Ameen Zubair, Niles Thony, Dylan Williams, and
Neo Clark-Tabb secured the highest finish for Saint Peter's over the weekend, placing fifth overall in a time of 42.40. Monmouth claimed first with the only sub-41 time of 40.89.
The 4x800m relay team of
Michael Amaker, Johan Aparicio, Connor Ziolkowski, and
Solomon Dunham raced to a seventh-place finish in a season-best time of 8:22.85. Sacred Heart took first in 7:39.58.
Adeiza Albert recorded a season-best time in the 400m hurdles, finishing 20th overall in 57.46, while Ziolkowski crossed the line in 57.98. Rutgers' Bryce Tucker claimed first in 52.57.
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
The 4x100m relay quartet of
Karilynn Jimenez, Samyah Wilson, Dezoara Diaz, and
Shanelle Vilson placed seventh overall in a season-best time of 49.16. Rutgers claimed gold in 45.70, more than a second ahead of the field.
Adriana Rollins finished 16th overall in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:08.23. Duquesne's Anna Rorrer earned first in 1:01.01.
Jimenez posted a season-best time of 25.39 in the 200m, finishing among the top 15, while Wilson followed in 26.06. Rutgers' Paige Floriea claimed gold with the only sub-25 time of 24.43.
The 4x400m relay team of Diaz,
Angela Owusu-Ansah, Wilson, and Rollins closed out the meet for Saint Peter's, placing seventh overall in a season-best time of 4:16.88. Duquesne claimed first in 3:48.89, the only team to dip under 3:50.
