SPU Aims To Turn the Tide In Crucial Week of Matchups

JERSEY CITY, N.J.- The Peacocks are back home for a one-game homestand versus La Salle on April 8th at 3 p.m. Then, they are off to Emmitsburg to face Mount St. Mary's for what should be an exciting three-game series starting on Friday, April 10th, at 3 p.m.

Saint Peter's looks to bounce back from their loss to Canisius last Friday and break its three-game losing streak.
ABOUT LA SALLE
In their last meeting on March 25th of this year, it was a narrow 15-16 defeat for the Peacocks. Wth Steve Polizzi, Louis D'Alessio, Alex Manent, Bobby Lavely, and Luke Schwartz recording two hits to help Saint Peter's stay in the game.
It was a back-and-forth between the teams with La Salle opening the box score with six runs in the top of the first. Saint Peter's would go on to score 14 runs with the scoring load starting at the top of the second inning and continuing until the sixth inning.
La Salle would answer back with seven runs of their own between the seventh and eighth innings.
Saint Peter's would show some life at the top of the ninth with the game tied. La Salle would go on to pull the win by bringing a runner home on third.
SPU looks to get revenge on La Salle as they head back home to Jaroshack Field.
ABOUT THE MOUNT
After their home game against La Salle, SPU is off to E.T. Straw Family Stadium in Emmitsburg, MD, to face The Mount in a three-game series starting on Friday.
The last time the Peacocks met the Mountaineers it was on May 11th last year, it was a 4-15 defeat for Saint Peter's, where the Mount would go on to score six runs to close out the game.
The Mountaineers hold an 8-1 advantage over SPU, with the last win for Saint Peter's coming in May 18th 2024, where it was an 11-10 narrow victory for the Peacocks.
Saint Peter's looks to change the script and grab a couple of wins at home as well on the road as they continue their campaign on Wednesday.
