LEXINGTON, KY – Saint Peter's sprinter
Cashieve Blair competed in the 200m at the East First Round of the 2026 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the UK Track & Field Complex on Wednesday evening.
A field of 48 athletes took to the track, with 24 competitors advancing to Friday's quarterfinal round, including the top three finishers from each heat and the next six fastest times. Blair competed in heat four alongside athletes from South Florida, Clemson, and Ohio State.
LSU's Jaiden Reid posted the fastest qualifying time of the opening round, clocking a season-best 20.15. Auburn's Israel Okon followed in 20.21, while Ohio State's Nazzio John rounded out the top three overall in 20.30.
Blair narrowly missed advancing to the quarterfinals by one-tenth of a second, finishing fifth in his heat and 30th overall with a time of 20.84.
The top 24 qualifiers will return to the track for the quarterfinals on Friday, May 29, at 7:50 p.m.
