JERSEY CITY, N.J. - The Metro Conference announced the 2026-27 women's basketball conference schedule Monday afternoon, unveiling that Saint Peter's will open conference play on the road at Sacred Heart on Dec. 21
Like last year, each Metro team plays 20 conference games, 10 at home and 10 on the road.
The Peacocks are set to play against Manhattan, Quinnipiac, Canisius, Niagara, Mount St. Mary's, Rider, Merrimack, Fairfield, Sacred Heart and Iona in Jersey City. On the road, they will make trips to Sacred Heart, Rider, Merrimack, Siena, Canisius, Niagara, Iona, Marist, Manhattan and Quinnipiac.
In the month of December, Saint Peter's will play just one away conference game and one home conference game. Then in January, the Peacocks will have five road games and four home games. SPU plays its final eight Metro games in February, split home and away. The Metro Championship will be held in Atlantic City, N.J., from Mar. 4-9 with the top 10 teams making the tournament.
Saint Peter's is looking to bounce back following a 7-23 season, ending with a first round tournament exit. In the 2020's, the Peacocks have made the conference tournament every season.
