JERSEY CITY, N.J.- The Saint Peter's Peacocks (1-5-1) are back on home soil for their Metro Conference home opener this Saturday, Sept. 19th at 12 p.m. ET at Joseph J. Jaroschak Field to take on the Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers (0-5-2). The Peacocks will look to acquire their first three points in the Metro Conference.
The Peacocks are coming off a 0-0 draw against Merrimack. Senior midfielder
Julia Pinho Magno thought she put Saint Peter's ahead of the Warriors, but her goal was disallowed due to a foul she committed in the Merrimack box.
Sophomore goalkeeper Bergjlot Kristinsdottir registered her first clean sheet of the season.
The Peacocks will look to take their positive momentum forward to secure their first win in Metro action.

The Peacocks are 1-4 all-time against the Mountaineers. Their most recent match resulted in a 2-3 loss for the Peacocks. Senior midfielder
Alexa De Barros had a goal and an assist in the game. Her goal came off a short free-kick pass that was distributed by Pinho Magno. De Barros lobbed the ball over the Mountaineers' keeper.
Saint Peter's sole win over The Mount was a 2-1 win in 2024.
ABOUT THE MOUNT ST. MARY'S MOUNTAINEERS:
The Mount is searching for not only their first win in the Metro Conference, but their first win of the 2026 season altogether. The Mountaineers are 0-1-1 in Metro play. They opened their Metro campaign similarly to Saint Peter's, with a 0-0 draw at Iona.
Their most recent game was at home against Quinnipiac, where they fell 1-4 against the Bobcats. Caocume Valle was the only Mountaineer to get on the scoreboard.
The Mountaineers are led by Liis Abbott in her second season.
