Golf Earns Four MAAC All-Academic Selections

EDISON, N.J. – Saint Peter's men's golf was one of just five Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) programs to place at least four student-athletes on the league's All-Academic team, announced on Thursday.

The team's trio of seniors – Jimmy Apostolico (accounting), Melvin Morales (sports management) and Caleb Rossi (business management) – were each named to the MAAC All-Academic team for the third time in their careers. 

Sophomore Adam Varela (sports management) rounded out Saint Peter's representatives among the 33 total selections.

To be selected, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 on a 4.0 scale. All eligible Peacock golfers earned the distinction this season.

Saint Peter's All-Academic quartet will be back in action on the course this weekend at the 2022 MAAC Championships, which gets underway at 7:30 a.m. Friday morning at Disney's Magnolia Golf Course in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
